So I finished my bachelor degree at Brown and went to graduate school at Northwestern. Now these days I do some volunteer work at times, like once a month or so at private schools, all of the private schools I go to are mostly White and Asian. Recently I talked to a good friend of mines named Anant, a bright Indian (India) kid and I asked him if he has a girlfriend, he told me in secret that he does but she is not of the "proper" ethnicity and his friends will pick on him for it. His girlfriend is Hispanic and I noticed just talking to some of the kids at the private school, they don't take kindly to interracial dating unless it is between Asians and Whites. So I talked to the kids about what races and ethnic groups they would or wouldn't date, they said anything is okay as long as the person isn't Black, Hispanic or Middle Eastern. I asked them why and one kid said that educated men do not marry Hispanic or Black women, they either marry their own race or they marry White women. I was really shocked at what I heard and I found my friend Anant was right about the kids.
